Is Baku actually worth it, or should I just do Georgia like everyone else?

Depends on what "worth it" means to you — they're different products wearing the same region. Georgia is the deeper country trip: mountains that stagger (Kazbegi, Svaneti), a wine culture older than France's, and valleys made for a week of roaming. Baku is the superior city break: a UNESCO old town against a futurist skyline, mud volcanoes and fire temples a day-trip away, polished, safe, and doable brilliantly in four days — with an e-visa in 3 working days and direct Delhi flights. Our honest matrix: 4–5 days → Baku wins (Georgia's best bits need more time than that allows); 7+ days → Georgia wins; the connoisseur's answer → both, since they border each other and the overland combination is one of our favourite ten-day itineraries anywhere.
