Visa: easy, but budget for it
Indians get Visa on Arrival (VOA) at Denpasar — currently IDR 500,000 (about ₹2,600), extendable once. Carry a return ticket printout and proof of accommodation; immigration does ask. You can also pre-pay the e-VOA online to skip one queue.

When to go
May–June and September are the sweet spots from India: dry season, thinner crowds than July–August, and fares ₹4,000–6,000 cheaper. Avoid Nyepi (Balinese New Year, March) unless you know what you're signing up for — the entire island shuts down for a day, airport included.
