May–June means escaping heat while school's out, and three destinations dominate our family bookings: Singapore first — the safest bet in travel for those ages: Universal Studios, the Night Safari, Gardens by the Bay, transport a 12-year-old can navigate, and everything engineered to work. Budget honestly (₹3–3.5L family of four, 5 nights) — see our Singapore guide. Bali second for the adventure-family: May–June opens the dry season — waterfalls, the safari park, snorkelling, a volcano sunrise for the brave 12-year-old — at friendlier costs (₹2.2–2.8L). Almaty is the dark horse we increasingly recommend: 14 days visa-free, four-hour flights, genuine mountains, cable cars and canyon day-trips at 25°C while Delhi burns — and children remember their first alpine lake forever (₹2–2.5L). Whichever you pick: book May over June where possible; fares climb as the holidays deepen.
